Tyler B

Tyler has been playing drums for 20 years now, having started at 10 years old. An alumnus of TWHS drum line, having placed top 5 in BOA nationals twice in high school, he also has extensive history playing in touring bands such as Honey XL, French Film, Blissbom and Not Really. He loves to spread his passion for drumming and believes joy to be a fundamental aspect of the learning process. He understands music theory and believes that success with drumming starts with identifying certain musical goals: serving the song, getting good tone, playing with taste  and knowing when to do less are essential in growing as an artist. Properly tuning one’s drums is just as important as learning your rudiments. He is invested in seeing tangible growth in his students but also makes sure to have fun along the way.
