“Patient experimentation in practice will always lead to success.”
Nathan has been playing the violin for sixteen years and the viola for four. He’s attended world class music festivals such as Interlochen, Orford, and Encore strings academy.
Nathan is a recent graduate of Oberlin Conservatory, where he studied violin performance with Jinjoo Cho and William Van Der Sloot. He currently studies viola performance at University of Houston with Suzanne LeFevre. Nathan has been awarded a position in the Tomatz graduate string quartet for 2021. During this time, Nathan has learned a lot about classical music and the most effective methods for learning it.
When it comes to teaching, he believes in a case-by-case approach. He also understands the importance of striking a balance between fun and hard work to help students improve without getting burned out. Nathan is very excited to begin his career as a classical musician!
Nathan teaches both in person and online lessons at the Lone Star Southwest and Dripping Springs locations. Call for availability.
