Hearing Impaired Lessons

Location: Dripping Springs

Music can be learned by anyone. Not only learned, but enjoyed. This does not exclude children who are hearing impaired or who are deaf. At Lone Star School of Music, we invite those who are hearing impaired or deaf to join us!

In this class, students will learn music theory, site reading, performance, and technique. The classes will be catered to each student’s different learning style to insure the most fulfilling results and to reach their highest potential.

One of our instructors at Lone Star School of Music, knows first hand what a difference music can make in someone’s life. Here is her testimonial:

“When I was 4, I was given hearing aids. My loss was diagnosed as moderate to severe. Growing up, I was shy and never really sure of myself. At the age of 9, I started piano lessons. Learning piano has changed my life.

Music has led me to amazing things. Not only did it give me my confidence and my own unique voice, it has given me opportunities I would not have had otherwise. Most recently, I have had the chance to speak at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. for the production of “Silent No More”. I spoke about my experience with hearing loss and music. Most excitingly for me, I played a few of my own compositions to a sold out crowd. Piano has given me a chance to be a part of the world, in my own way”.
